Club meetings
Having (more than) reached retirement age, it is surprising that I have only now discovered ‘networking’. I have handed out business cards for years but never knew there was a name for it! I have always acknowledged the power of Press interviews but never thought of paying to advertise my art. I realise now that I made a mistake in not being more businesslike. Since the Club was launched I have enjoyed meeting a great many interesting people … and learned a lot. Some speakers have left lasting impressions … such as the debt collector; I never did find out how much enforcing he did! I’m writing this to my fellow members to say how much I enjoy their company twice a month and to say how much I value their encouragement. My thanks to all
